We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Phlebotomist to join our team at BSA Hospital. As a Laboratory Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and process blood and other specimens for laboratory testing
- Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and other specimen collection techniques
- Ensure proper specimen handling and transportation to the laboratory
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers to obtain necessary information
- Maintain accurate records and reports of specimen collection and testing results
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth operation of the laboratory
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory services
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or previous phlebotomy experience
- Certification from a nationally recognized agency, such as the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or American Medical Technologists (AMT)
