Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Healthcare Services Administrator (HSA), Director of Nursing (DON), and Registered Nurses (RN) to coordinate physical therapy services. This individual will also be responsible for communicating effectively with clients, peers, and employees at all levels within the organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Work cohesively with the HSA, DON, and RN(s) in the coordination of the physical therapy delivery system
- Use all functions and applications of TechCareTM relevant to the position with no supervision, and assist with staff training as requested
- Communicate effectively with clients, peers, and employees at all levels within the organization
- Demonstrate personal performance based on professional practice standards, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations, and organizational criteria
- Provide physical therapy treatments and procedures
- Development of treatment plans
- Document progress of all treatment rendered
- Prepare all treatment areas and equipment for use
- Perform postural drainage, percussions, and vibrations, and teach deep breathing exercises to treat respiratory conditions
- Instruct, motivate, safeguard, and assist patients as they practice exercises and functional activities
- Confer with healthcare staff and others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment
- Administer active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, massage, and heat, light, sound, water, and modality treatments, as required
- Observe patients during treatments to compile and evaluate data on patients' responses and progress, and report
- Measure patients' range of motion, body parts, and vital signs to determine the effects of treatment or for patient evaluations
- Secure patients into or onto therapy equipment
- Fit and train patients for orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices, such as crutches
- Assist with transport of patients to and from the treatment area
- Clean and check work area and equipment after each treatment
- Assist patients with hygiene and daily living activities as needed
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is $83,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience. NaphCare, Inc. offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
