As a Process Improvement Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
  • Applying Manufacturing Engineering expertise, including line balancing, ergonomic assessments, and product flow analysis to ensure process optimization
  • Utilizing AutoCAD for equipment and process layout design
  • Conducting data analysis from time studies to implement enhancements that boost efficiency
  • Leveraging engineering skills to mitigate risks and enhance safety and ergonomics across all manufacturing areas
  • Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions focused on improving efficiency, quality, and safety
  • Collecting production metrics and devising solutions to minimize waste and enhance productivity
  • Collaborating with operators and engineering teams to identify opportunities for efficiency gains
  • Developing process flows and layouts for equipment and work cells
Qualifications for the Process Improvement Engineer role include:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience as an Engineer within an automotive supply context, particularly in assembly or manufacturing operations
  • Proven track record of successful projects aimed at enhancing manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in equipment layout using AutoCAD
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach
  • Strong communication skills to engage with all levels of the manufacturing facility
