About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Academic Coach to join our team at Dallas College. As an Academic Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting students in achieving their academic goals. You will work closely with students, staff, and faculty to provide individual and group academic coaching sessions, develop academic resource materials, and assess student progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group academic coaching sessions to students in an open lab, virtual, and/or one-on-one setting.
  • Develop and maintain academic resource materials to support instructional programs.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Work with students to develop study skills, refine and apply understanding of course material, and key concepts learned.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Requirements
  • Associate degree required.
  • Plus one (1) related experience as tutor/teacher or any combination of two of the following qualifications: additional specialized training; indirect supervisory duties; experience in a related field.
  • Able to work after school hours, nights, and/or weekends.
  • Official transcripts will be required.
