Phlebotomy Technician

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Health Care District of Palm Beach County. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients for laboratory testing and analysis.

• Collect blood and other specimens from patients using aseptic techniques and following established protocols.
• Verify patient identities and obtain necessary medical information for accurate specimen labeling.
• Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, including centrifugation, labeling, and packaging.
• Maintain accurate records of specimen collection, processing, and testing results.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate testing results.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and laboratory operations.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• Minimum two (2) to four (4) months of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
