Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Addiction Therapist to join our team at Synergy Family Services, Inc. (SFS). As a key member of our outpatient mental health center, you will play a vital role in providing strengths-based, culturally proficient services to enhance the social, emotional, behavioral health and wellness of individuals and families.

About Us: SFS is a dynamic organization dedicated to building a healthy community through culturally appropriate behavioral health services. Our mission is to provide high-quality care to those most in need, and our vision is to build bridges and fortify underserved individuals and communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate screening, identification, evaluation, and assessment for individuals who present gambling issues.
  • Facilitate appropriate and necessary referrals to community resources, including referrals to gambling affiliate providers, mental health, case management, PRP services, community resources, and substance abuse providers, as needed.
  • Maintain case records, ensuring that documentation is available, accurate, and in compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
  • Conduct all services and job-related functions in a manner consistent with applicable professional and ethical standards.
  • Stay abreast of new information related to services provided.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related field (LMSW, LCSW, or LGPC, LCPC).
  • Licensed to practice in Maryland and eligible to participate on health insurance provider panels.
  • 40 hours of gambling training/certification.
  • Ability to interface professionally with a diverse clientele, including management, community resources, and other professional entities.
