Adjunct Professor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Instructor to teach graduate-level courses in Construction Engineering and Management at the University of Kansas. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction engineering and management, with experience in teaching and mentoring students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach graduate-level courses in Construction Engineering and Management, including Construction Planning & Scheduling, Construction Quality & Productivity, and Construction Finance & Accounting.
• Develop and implement course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments to ensure student learning outcomes are met.
• Hold office hours to provide individualized support and guidance to students.
• Administer projects, assignments, and exams, and grade student work.
• Collaborate with the Jayhawk Global team to ensure conformance with Quality Matters requirements for online course delivery.

Requirements:

• Terminal Master's or PhD degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management, or closely related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional engineering/construction management experience directly related to a specific course.
• Three years of teaching experience with evidence of prior teaching success in area of interest.
• Licensing as a Professional Engineer.
