Empower youth and families to create lasting change through our Multisystemic Therapist position at MiSide Community Impact Network.

In this role, you will work holistically with families, youth, and their communities to implement the Multisystemic Therapy (MST) model.

As a Multisystemic Therapist, you will receive ongoing team support, training, and supervision to help you effectively address problematic behaviors and promote life-transforming changes in youth.

Treatment progress will be made through intensive interventions, such as changing unhelpful family interactions, addressing peer and school-related issues, and increasing social support.

Position Summary:

As part of our Children, Youth and Families Center of Excellence, the Multisystemic Therapist will provide home-based services to youth and their families where the youth is involved in delinquent activities, including problem behavior and anti-social behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review referral information and identify key participants
  • Identify systemic strengths and weaknesses and develop an analysis of the fit of problem behaviors within the ecological context
  • Develop and implement MST assessments and interventions

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling, or other mental health discipline from an accredited school
  • One year of experience and training in examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families
  • Direct use of pragmatic family therapies
  • Experience with implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth's natural ecology
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred
  • An active State of Michigan professional license (LP, LLP, LPC, LLPC, LMSW, LLMSW)
  • Maintain 24 Hour-Child Specific Training hours Annually for CMHP Credentialing
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a private vehicle for day-to-day job performance

  • $52,000 to $58,000 annually (Full-Time/Union)
