The Cyber Operations Center Analyst is responsible for protecting the Medical Community of Interest (Med-COI) by leveraging advanced analytics, real-time monitoring, and risk assessment methodologies. This role involves managing security event data, performing correlation analysis on cyber incidents, tracking IAVM compliance, and ensuring threat intelligence integration across DHA's cybersecurity ecosystem.
Responsibilities:- Monitor and analyze SIEM dashboards to detect and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
- Conduct log correlation, forensic analysis, and anomaly detection using Splunk, HBSS, and centralized logging platforms.
- Develop custom Splunk SIEM queries and detection rules for APTs, insider threats, and unauthorized network activity.
- Correlate cyber threat intelligence by ingesting USCYBERCOM advisories, OSINT IoCs, and SIGACT data into SIEM tools.
- Lead automated alert tuning and SIEM rule refinement to reduce false positives and enhance threat detection accuracy.
- Support incident correlation analysis, threat hunt teams, and forensic investigations.
- Monitor SIEM dashboards to detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
