Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site inspections to monitor air pollution sources and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Investigate air pollution complaints and issue warnings or notices of violations as necessary
  • Develop and implement pollution control measures to minimize air pollution impacts
  • Supervise and train junior staff members on air quality control procedures
  • Prepare and present reports on air quality data and trends
Requirements
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License in the state of Alabama or ability to obtain within one year
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in air quality control or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and laws
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
Working Conditions

This position requires regular field visits to outdoor worksites, including construction sites, residences, and buildings. Incumbents may be required to enter properties and work in various weather conditions.
