At Baylor Scott & White Health, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Breast Imaging Technologist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services to patients in need of breast exams.
About the Role:
The Breast Imaging Technologist performs high-quality breast imaging procedures according to exam protocols in a timely manner. This includes preparing patients and equipment for procedures, positioning patients correctly, and adjusting immobilization devices as needed. You will also be responsible for maintaining production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Performs high-quality breast imaging procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner
* Maintains production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures
* Prepares patients and equipment for procedures, positions patients correctly, and adjusts immobilization devices as needed
* Instructs and communicates with patients and their family regarding the test to be performed and assesses patient's ability to tolerate exam
* Protects patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques
Requirements:
* ARRT-M Mammography (ARRT-M) certification
* Graduation from an accredited program
* Ability to perform tasks exclusively without need for routine oversight
* Ability to maintain a calm and helpful attitude, even under times of stress, and take appropriate and reasonable steps to resolve issues
* Ability to effectively administer first aid and use emergency cart
Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits, 401(k) savings plan with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5%, tuition reimbursement, and PTO accrual beginning Day 1.
