Job Title: Registered Nurse 1

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse 1 to join our team at the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. As a Registered Nurse 1, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in nursing activities, including the preparation, evaluation, and implementation of nursing care plans to ensure quality patient care.
  • Act as health liaison and coordinate and schedule medical follow-up, including completion of consultations.
  • Provide first aid and emergency nursing care.
  • Monitor and order pharmaceutical supplies for each individual.
  • Attend team reviews and present information, as needed.
  • Meet documentation requirement, including obtaining and transcribing physicians' orders, daily nursing note, health charts, medication regimen reviews, and case review summaries.
  • Provide medication administration and maintain inventory standards for medication, controlled substances, medical supplies.
  • Participate in staff training and prepare clinical and administrative reports.

Requirements:

  • Licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in New York State.
  • Maintain a valid New York State license and registration.
