Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Lutheran Clinic in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide advanced-level respiratory care to patients and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Role

This position requires a graduate of a NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program with current registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT) and a valid license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced-level respiratory care to patients, including diagnostic testing procedures, arterial gases, and equipment operation.
  • Administer medications safely and effectively, evaluating their impact and making necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain awareness of patient conditions, communicate with healthcare teams, and make recommendations for patient care.
  • Teach patients and families self-care techniques and modalities, promoting health promotion and wellness.
  • Document patient care accurately, monitoring supplies and equipment, and utilizing time effectively to achieve productivity standards.
  • Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and potential safety hazards.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program.
  • Current registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT).
  • Valid license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $114,422.40 - $173,141.60, based on a 36-hour workweek and an hourly rate of $30.94 - $47.77.
