We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team at Hughes Resources. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating steel components to meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Use precision measuring devices to ensure accurate layout and fit of steel components
- Weld steel pieces together in various positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead
- Inspect completed workpieces for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to complete tasks accurately
- Identify and select the correct parts to be welded
- Previous welding experience is preferred, but not required
- Welding gear and personal protective equipment are required
- Ability to read blueprints and precision measuring equipment is essential
- Basic math skills are required for accurate calculations
- Competitive hourly rate starting at $18-25/hour
