WIN Waste Innovations is a leading waste management company seeking a highly skilled Fuel and Ash Handler I to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for monitoring and operating auxiliary equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain ash handling equipment, including industrial forklifts, manlifts, and skid steer type loaders.
- Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs to ash handling, tipping floor, and other assigned auxiliary systems.
- Load metals and operate ash handling equipment as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with all Company environmental, health, and safety requirements, policies, procedures, and rules.
- Use specialized equipment, including 15,000 psi water blaster systems and mobile water pumps, to perform tasks such as cleaning and drain clearing.
- Work in areas under adverse conditions, including confined spaces and pressure vessels, and wear personal protective equipment as required.
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent work experience.
- Mechanical abilities sufficient to perform equipment maintenance, minor repairs, and general preventative maintenance.
This role requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with exposure to noise, dust, and other hazardous conditions. The successful candidate will be able to work in areas with uneven surfaces, catwalks, and deck grating, and will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including a negative pressure respirator, positive pressure respirator, and self-contained breathing apparatus.
