Maintenance Responsibilities

As a key member of the Sports & Social team, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety standards of our facilities are achieved and maintained. This includes performing general maintenance work, completing minor work orders, and performing preventative maintenance duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our facilities, including but not limited to: replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, painting, and repairs to pipes, toilets, sinks, and equipment.
  • Minor Work Orders: Complete tasks such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, painting, and repairs to pipes, toilets, sinks, and equipment.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform tasks as assigned to prevent equipment failure and ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
  • Equipment Preparation: Ensure that assigned equipment is prepared and operational for the following day's work.
  • Efficiency Monitoring: Monitor the efficiency of equipment and electrical systems, making minor repairs and/or replacements as needed to ensure proper operation and maximum efficiency.
  • Painting and Finishing: Paint and finish furniture and fixtures as needed.
  • Facility Maintenance: Maintain the front entrance area, parking lot and/or garage, and street entrance in a clean and presentable manner.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the exterior of the facility and grounds, including property signs and lighting.
  • Inventory Management: Follow procedures to ensure the security of inventory and assets, replenish supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner, and minimize waste.
  • Reporting: Report all unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
  • Guest Service: Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.
  • Teamwork: Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
Maintenance Qualifications

The Maintenance Technician position requires the ability to perform the following tasks:

  • Physical Demands: Carrying, lifting, pulling, or pushing items weighing up to pounds.
  • Standing and Moving: Frequently standing up and moving about the facility.
  • Handling Objects: Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility.
  • Bending and Stooping: Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and crawling.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical skills, preventive maintenance procedures, and a reasonable understanding of building equipment and hand tools.
  • Reading and Writing: Reading and writing abilities are utilized to document or record all tasks completed, to order supplies, to receive instructions for the day, or to read equipment repair manuals.
  • Mathematical Skills: Mathematical skills, including basic math, are used frequently.
  • Availability: May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
