Certification Requirements- Mandatory Licensure: CORST, CST, or TSC - certification is essential.

- Role: Surgical Technologist
- Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year in CVOR Surgical Technology within a hospital environment; experience in cardiothoracic procedures is necessary, including open-heart surgeries.
- Critical Skills: At least 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience in a hospital setting, with a focus on Open Heart and Thoracic procedures.
- Desirable Skills: Experience with ECMO, Impella insertion, and Robotics is advantageous.
- Shift Pattern: Days, 4 x 10 schedule (subject to facility needs)
- Weekly Hours Guaranteed: 36
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekend Work: As required by the facility
- On-Call Duties: One day per week and one weekend per month
- Floating Requirements: As needed by the facility
- Dress Code: Professional attire required

- Unacceptable Attire: Unprofessional clothing, including jeans
- Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of the surgeon and the circulating Registered Nurse, adhering to established standards of practice.
- Efficiently prepare surgical cases across various specialties, ensuring the availability of necessary equipment and supplies based on patient needs and surgeon preferences.
- Exhibit technical proficiency in maintaining a sterile environment, conducting instrument, sponge, and sharp counts, and assisting OR staff in accordance with patient safety protocols.
- Serve as a resource for newly hired Surgical Technicians and students from Surgical Technology programs.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
