18 PLUMBING EDUCATION SPECIALIST (Part-time/Hourly)
Employer: O Tech Location: Not Specified Job Type: The Plumbing Education Specialist will be tasked with delivering technical training for individuals enrolled in the Plumbing Apprenticeship program, assisting apprentices in their preparation for state licensure examinations. Additional duties encompass curriculum design and execution, assessment of student competencies, providing guidance to students, achieving retention and placement objectives, maintaining accurate student records, and fostering relationships with local employers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Deliver technical training in a safe, organized, and effective learning environment.
2. Administer assessments and maintain records of student progress and attendance.
3. Enhance student retention to meet program membership hour targets.
4. Assist students with job placement and relevant industry certifications to achieve program goals.
5. Maintain communication with local employers to gather feedback on curriculum and industry developments.
6. Develop and adjust curriculum based on recommendations from advisory teams and industry standards.
7. Ensure instructional content meets institutional and accreditation standards.
8. Motivate and guide students in professional conduct, training, and study techniques. Collaborate with counselors and staff to address any training-related issues.
9. Promote professionalism and strong work ethics among students.
10. Support marketing initiatives for the program and institution.
11. Collaborate effectively within the educational community.
12. Manage the use of equipment and supplies; provide recommendations for purchases.
ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS:
It is anticipated that the incumbent will undertake other responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must hold a valid Utah Commercial Plumber License.
2. Preference will be given to candidates with a Utah Master Plumber License.
3. Teaching experience is preferred.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to operate a Windows-based computer is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
1. The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking on uneven surfaces, bending, and lifting moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) regularly.
2. Safety precautions and equipment are necessary when working around operational machinery.
HOURLY COMPENSATION: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
