As a Senior CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the nursing staff in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobilizing patients.
- Perform Accu-checks, finger sticks, and EKGs as needed.
- Assist with phlebotomy venipuncture and other procedures as directed by the RN.
- Respond to patient crises and initiate interventions within the scope of responsibilities.
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record.
- Perform Unit Clerk duties, including answering phones, entering charges, and coordinating maintenance of unit supplies.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- One or more of the following qualifications: previous patient care experience, nursing student with completed clinical hours, licensed CNA, or acceptance into a Christiana Care approved Patient Care Technician training program.
- 2 years of clerical or related experience preferred.
Frequent exposure to biological elements with occasional exposure to chemical and environmental elements.
