Position Purpose

Oversee daily shipping and distribution functions. Ensure that orders are accurately shipped and delivered promptly.

Main Responsibilities

  • Utilize software to monitor, verify, prioritize, and route orders
  • Direct the movement of packages from preparation to dispatch
  • Coordinate delivery schedules for equipment
  • Supervise and mentor team members
  • Collaborate with purchasing and other department heads to enhance processes
  • Manage inventory receiving and storage activities
  • Oversee cycle counting and inventory management
  • Address issues related to order processing
  • Ensure adherence to legal standards and company policies

Physical Requirements:

  • Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs
  • Required to stand, walk, and work for extended periods
  • Must be able to climb on and off trucks throughout the day

Qualifications for Success

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory

Experience:

  • Forklift operation
  • Shipping and receiving processes
  • Inventory management expertise
  • Experience with 3PL and UPS systems
  • Familiarity with ERP systems

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of logistics operations
  • Experience in supervising and assessing team performance
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
  • Knowledge of 5S/Lean manufacturing principles
  • Ability to efficiently schedule full load and LTL shipments
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures
  • Familiarity with SAP and/or LN is advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
