Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Claims Assistant to join our team. As a Claims Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our claims staff and performing various office tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our claims management system.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and enter new claims into our claims management system
- Input and review notes/diaries in the claims management system as instructed
- Process payments and handle mail, filing, faxing, and photocopying
- Review, prepare, create, and send letters, reports, and forms
- Answer and initiate telephone calls, set up medical appointments, and provide customer service as required
- Perform other duties as assigned, including the preparation and distribution of computer reports
- High school diploma or GED required
- Six (6) months of clerical or customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team environment
