Cake Decorator

Position Summary: As a Cake Decorator at Sam's Club, you will drive member service in your area to deliver more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member's expectations.

• Be a Team Member: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources, and communicate effectively to provide customer service.
• Be an Expert: Plan bakery productions, ensure consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs, follow recipe measurement instructions, and work with various products to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items.
• Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement, utilizing handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality.
• Be an Owner: Drive the performance of the bakery area, ensuring quality and date control standards, eliminating waste, and preparing for seasonal events that impact the bakery volume.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Be a brand advocate by valuing the member's experience in Bakery and modeling high-quality service and products, interacting with associates to understand roadblocks and assisting in training.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.

Additional Compensation: Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.

Minimum Qualifications: 6 months' experience in fresh production area, must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications: Cake Decorating.
