Job Summary

Anderson University School of Nursing invites applications for a faculty position that includes didactic, clinical, simulation, and lab work. This non-tenure track appointment will be for 9 months and will begin in August, 2024. This is an on-site position. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Curriculum Development: Prepares and delivers didactic nursing concepts, maintains expertise in content, and collaborates with faculty to develop course and student experiences.
  • Clinical Coordination: Collaborates with clinical coordinator for clinical placements, teaches 24 credit hours or 360 contact hours per year, and may include teaching summer courses.
  • Student Advising and Support: Advises nursing students, prepares students in achieving the requirements for NCLEX, and facilitates and manages clinical activities.
  • Committee Work and Professional Development: Participates in committee work, maintains knowledge of The Essentials of Nursing Education for Baccalaureate Degree Programs, and attends graduations/retreats/SOAR/and other SON activities.
Qualifications
  • Education: Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited institution preferred, Masters in Nursing from an accredited institution required, and Masters in Nursing Education preferred.
  • Licensure and Experience: Active, unencumbered Indiana RN License, minimum of 3 years nursing practice with experience in medical-surgical and intensive care, and collaborative approach to working with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills, ability to handle situations with tact, professionalism, diplomacy, and confidentiality, and strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Christian Experience: Possess a vitality of Christian experience that is maturing in insight and application, and commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity.
