Position Overview:
As a Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Program Prevention Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and assessment of initiatives aimed at preventing sexual harassment and assault within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and articulate program goals, policies, and operational data to enhance the effectiveness of SHARP-related initiatives.
- Create and implement prevention strategies that encompass various social and ecological factors, educating personnel on risk and protective elements associated with sexual misconduct.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify community needs and analyze data to highlight trends and outcomes related to sexual harassment and assault.
- Ensure adherence to relevant Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Army (DA) regulations and local directives.
- Support integrated prevention efforts through strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of program outcomes.
- Provide expert consultation to leadership and staff on complex issues related to the SHARP Program.
- Represent the organization in collaborative efforts, presenting SHARP initiatives and evaluation findings at various meetings.
Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet specific employment authority categories and demonstrate relevant experience in the field. A bachelor's degree in behavioral or social sciences or a combination of education and experience is required. Specialized experience in planning and executing prevention programs addressing sexual harassment and assault is essential.
