Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all facets of financial management, including corporate accounting and regulatory reporting.
  • Investigate technical accounting matters and coordinate necessary regulatory submissions.
  • Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Manage comprehensive accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Lead the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
  • Prepare and disseminate timely monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reports.
  • Research technical accounting issues to ensure compliance.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
  • Manage compliance with local, state, and federal reporting and tax obligations.
  • Document and enhance business processes and accounting policies to fortify internal controls.
  • Stay informed on financial market trends to optimize profits and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Assess the financial health of the organization to fulfill legal obligations and maintain fiscal integrity.
  • Analyze financial outcomes, budget discrepancies, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Formulate financial strategies, risk mitigation plans, and opportunity assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a financial controller.
  • Minimum of 5 years in accounting and finance roles.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Experience with ECI/MarkSystems is a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in preparing financial statements.
  • Familiarity with general ledger functions and the closing process.
  • Strong skills in accounting software usage and administration.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other relevant standards.
  • Consistent and punctual attendance is required.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
