Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Adjunct Faculty Member to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As an Adjunct Faculty Member, you will be responsible for providing engaging and interactive instruction to adults with intellectual disabilities in our Continuing Education and Workforce Development Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Course Development: Design and deliver high-quality course materials, including lesson plans, course descriptions, and learning objectives.
  • Instructional Delivery: Provide expert instruction to students, promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Student Support: Foster open-minded inquiry, encourage cooperation, and promote mutual respect among students.
  • Program Evaluation: Participate in program evaluation and assessment, providing feedback to improve course offerings and student outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree or higher in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching Experience: Prior experience teaching adults with intellectual disabilities, preferably in a non-credit setting.
  • Cultural Competence: Understanding of diverse workplace cultures and the ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
