Environmental Remediation Specialist

As an Environmental Remediation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper off-site treatment and disposal of customers' hazardous waste materials in accordance with environmentally responsible and cost-effective practices.

• Handle hazardous materials, including inventorying, identifying, segregating, and packaging waste material, adhering to Lab Pack policies and applicable regulations.
• Perform onsite services such as waste collection, consolidation, sampling, safety/compliance inspections, and other activities required by the customer/contract.
• Assist other business groups, like Depack, Retail, and HHW, as needed.
• Prepare shipments of packaged waste by inspecting, labeling, marking, and loading into transport vehicles.
• Complete documentation, including shipping papers, Land Disposal Restrictions (LDR's), evaluations/certifications, and other required documents according to appropriate regulations and procedures.
• May require obtaining and maintaining a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat Endorsement to operate Clean Earth vehicles for transporting personnel and waste.
• Fully comply with Health & Safety /Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) procedures, developing on-site Health & Safety plans/JSA's as outlined in the procedures and policies.

• A minimum Associate College degree in General Science or equivalent experience.
• A valid Driver's License with a clear record.
• The ability to travel extensively, with 20% overnight trips anticipated.
• Physical capability to lift and move materials frequently weighing over 55 pounds.
• Basic understanding of chemistry through general chemistry or biology.
