Position Overview:

Industrial Mechanic

Summary:

The Industrial Mechanic plays a crucial role in the upkeep and repair of various machinery. Responsibilities include the maintenance of pumps, motors, conveyors, gearboxes, and other equipment. The mechanic will assess performance, clean, lubricate, diagnose issues, and test malfunctioning components to identify necessary repairs.

Key Responsibilities:


• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed repair drawings related to industrial machinery


• Disassemble and reassemble equipment as needed, including pumps, motors, and conveyors


• Transport machinery to designated repair or maintenance locations


• Establish stable foundations for machinery on-site


• Align and calibrate machinery and equipment components


• Grind and file machinery parts as required


• Follow company safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment


• Perform additional duties as assigned


• Utilize tape measures accurately

Position Requirements:

Industrial Mechanic

Desired Qualifications/Skills:


• Proficient in reading specifications, tape measures, and blueprints


• Capable of using tools and equipment safely and effectively


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds


• Welding experience is advantageous


• Relevant education or a combination of experience, education, and training that equips the candidate with the necessary skills


• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record


• Dependable attendance and consistency in schedule are essential


• Strong work ethic with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions


• Team-oriented with excellent communication skills

Additional Notes:


• Availability for night shifts, holidays, and weekends may be required


• Must be prepared for "Call Out," "Emergency," and "Outage" work


• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold environments, while managing dust and dirt


• Willingness to travel to job sites, which may necessitate overnight stays away from home
