Operating under the NAPA Auto Parts brand, we cater to a vast customer base through an independent network throughout South and Central Texas.
Role Overview:
As a Counter Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and fostering long-term relationships with our clientele. This position reports directly to the Store Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service experiences.
- Operate cash registers and utilize both computer and paper catalog systems efficiently.
- Communicate product features, benefits, and warranty policies clearly to customers.
- Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
- Leverage your knowledge of automotive parts to assist team members in addressing customer inquiries.
- Utilize computers, cash registers, telephones, and catalog systems effectively.
- Maintain up-to-date promotional materials and in-store displays.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Ensure a safe and clean store environment for yourself, colleagues, and customers.
- Oversee the cleanliness of the front counter, sales floor, and back areas.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail setting, with a preference for those with automotive knowledge.
- Familiarity with cataloging and inventory management systems is advantageous.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A passion for engaging with customers in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to efficiently handle and move merchandise, including lifting items up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 60 pounds occasionally.
