The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Description
As a Medical Coding Specialist, you will be responsible for assigning accurate ICD-10 codes to inpatient episodes of care according to coding rules and principles.
You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate coding and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- RHIA, RHIT, and/or CPC/CCS credential
- Minimum 3 years experience coding inpatient acute care medical records
