About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pharmaceutical Account Strategist to join our team at MedOne, a leading pharmacy benefit manager. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing and fostering clinical relationships between our company and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Sales and Account Management teams to promote clinical programs, meeting the needs of current and potential clients.
  • Partner with Account Executives to optimize drug mix, offer clinical improvement recommendations, and implement cost-containment strategies.
  • Communicate specialty drug approvals, emphasizing therapy appropriateness, treatment duration, cost, and patient outcomes.
  • Report on patient and financial impacts related to adverse determinations for assigned clients.
  • Deliver exceptional clinical consultation and account management services, aiming to exceed client expectations and support retention.
  • Manage the clinical review and prior authorization processes, explaining clinical rationale, formulary alternatives, and appeals to members.
  • Support Member Advocate and Account Management teams with pharmacist-related interventions and client-facing meetings.
  • Develop and maintain clinical content for MedOne programs as the subject matter expert.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD with an active, unrestricted RPh license in Iowa (or ability to obtain reciprocity within 4 months).
  • At least 2 years of experience in a client-facing or consultative role within managed care or PBM.
  • Proficiency in drug literature and clinical trial analysis.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Solid understanding of PBM, formulary management, pharmacy claims, and managed care principles.
