Job Description

This is a highly skilled position that requires expertise in managing and maintaining IBM's DB2 database. The ideal candidate will have experience with transactional and analytical workloads, as well as knowledge of database design and architecture.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Installing and setting up DB2 database software on different platforms (e.g., Windows, UNIX, Linux)
  • Configuring the database environment, including storage, memory, and security settings
  • Designing databases and schemas to meet business requirements
  • Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the DB2 databases
  • Establishing backup and recovery strategies
  • Managing user roles, privileges, and security policies
