The Senior Financial Analyst collaborates with Lumen's business stakeholders to enhance understanding of business performance, including financial outcomes, the impact of key initiatives and investments, and identifying opportunities for improvement. This role requires a hands-on approach in partnering with business leaders to deliver insightful analysis and reporting. A strong analytical mindset, coupled with effective reporting and business collaboration skills, is essential to drive performance and communicate risks and opportunities through meaningful analysis. Additionally, this role involves working with Finance colleagues to support their professional development.
Main Responsibilities- Conduct thorough and innovative financial analysis to produce actionable insights. Utilize in-depth knowledge of the business and its performance drivers, employing analytical tools and creative thinking to enhance understanding of Lumen's financial standing and forecast necessary business decisions for optimal portfolio results.
- Analyze key trends and business levers, both historical and predictive, to inform decision-making. Evaluate results and clarify variances from targets. Develop insightful reporting to track essential financial metrics and drivers for modeling and accurate financial forecasting. Enhance existing reporting processes using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Power Query.
- Foster strong partnerships with business stakeholders. Build rapport by understanding their performance metrics and ensuring focus on the levers and opportunities that will drive results. Communicate effectively to ensure that opportunities and risks are identified and addressed proactively.
- Collaborate across various Lumen finance and business teams to share insights, connect information, and drive results.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the technology or a similar industry.
- Proficient in financial data analytics and modeling; adept at resolving complex data and analytical challenges; inquisitive and self-driven.
- Proven thought leadership that contributes to value creation for the business.
- Strong communicator; effective in building stakeholder relationships; clearly articulates necessary steps to achieve results.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines and deliverables. Attention to detail is crucial.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting all deadlines.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience as a Finance business partner in the technology sector.
- Proficient with advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities and other analytical tools (e.g., Power Query, Power BI, SAP, and/or SQL).
The starting salary for this position varies based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not begin at the top of the range, as compensation is contingent on individual qualifications.

$118630 in additional states.
$124280 in various states.
As with the pay range variability based on geographic location, specific offers are determined by factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
