Job Summary

RDR Utility Services Group LLC is seeking a skilled Pipe Fusion Technician to join our team. As a Pipe Fusion Technician, you will be responsible for fusing HDPE pipe, fittings, and working with a crew to install pumps, valves, and fittings to complete job tasks to Company and Customer Standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fuse HDPE pipe, fittings, and work with a crew to install pumps, valves, and fittings to complete job tasks to Company and Customer Standards.
  • Turn in time sheets, JSA's, and equipment/vehicle inspections daily and report all deficiencies to Foreman and/or Superintendent.
  • Work with Tele Handler, Skid Steer, Excavators, Dozers, and HDPE Fusion Equipment.
  • Load and unload equipment and materials from Trucks and Trailers with the use of proper rigging tools and lifting techniques.
  • Install Water Transfer Pumps, Valves, Fittings, Pig Launchers/Receivers, and Fuse HDPE Pipe to Company, Customer, and Industry Standards.
  • Operate any and all equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance and a safer work environment.
  • Ensure company equipment and material is used properly, maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner.
Requirements
  • Experience in Water Transfer Construction Rig up, HDPE Pipe Fusion, and Pigging of Water Lines (Preferred but not required).
  • Experience using McElroy 630 or 900 fusion machines preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational experience.
  • Punctual, Positive Attitude, and Good Communication Skills (Verbally and Written).
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Pride in workmanship.
  • Safe Land, HDPE Fusion Certification, Ability to operate Tele Handlers, Skid Steers, Excavators, and Dozers. Oil & Gas Experience.
  • Ability to read and understand plans, identify HDPE pipe, and fittings used in the Water Transfer Construction of sites.
  • Leadership capabilities.
  • Strong Safety Commitment.
  • Ability to correctly operate Data Logger in HDPE Fusion Process.
  • Ability to measure and correctly fabricate HDPE Pipe and Fittings.
  • Ability to determine and set drag pressures on fusion machines to complete tie-in connections on pipeline Right of Ways.
