Job Summary

Madera USD seeks a highly skilled and experienced Girls Wrestling Coach and Program Head to lead our girls wrestling athletic program. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing a positive team culture and providing direction and vision for a girls wrestling program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop individual wrestling skill sets, techniques, and game strategies necessary for overall team improvement.
  • Develop and communicate a team strategy, provide instruction for student athletes in the consistent execution of the team strategy.
  • Complete match planning and film review in preparation for competition.
  • Establish off-season weight training/conditioning program.
  • Work with the MHS Athletic Administration to select a qualified Assistant coach.
  • Ensure that rules and regulations regarding conduct and eligibility are communicated and followed.
  • Communicate effectively and build positive working relationships between team members, parents, athletic department, administration, teachers, other coaches, athletes, officials, and opponents.
  • Maintain all required coaching certification.
  • Complete forms and documents in a timely manner.

  • The certificates below can be obtained at Concussion, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Heat Illness Prevention

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous coaching experience
