Key Objectives

  • Oversee all aspects of cash management, investments, insurance, and financial reporting, either directly or through staff.
  • Ensure operational cash flow aligns with daily activities by managing accounting, reporting, and internal controls.
  • Develop and implement best practices and tools for a well-regulated yet adaptable organization with strong fiscal oversight, project coordination, and effective communication.
  • Adhere to national and local regulations within the real estate and note servicing sectors by monitoring existing and new legislation and taking necessary actions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and dissemination of monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring timely updates for key stakeholders.
  • Evaluate internal operations to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Conduct risk management assessments regarding company liabilities and investments, and manage capital structure effectively.
  • Coordinate HR functions with external service providers and internal personnel handling various HR responsibilities.
  • Track business performance using monitoring tools, implement corrective actions as needed, and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards across all financial operations, including tax planning and adherence to local, state, and federal tax laws.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly and annual state and federal tax returns.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years in executive leadership roles.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, characterized by personal integrity.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
  • In-depth understanding of advanced accounting principles, regulatory matters, and tax strategies.
  • Certified Public Accountant with experience in tax filing.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in note servicing and knowledge of the real estate sector.
  • Proficiency in software related to general bookkeeping, property management, and note management.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
