The Plumbers & Steamfitters Local #22 is seeking skilled individuals to join their apprenticeship program. As a Plumber Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn the trade and develop the skills necessary to succeed in the industry.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must provide a signed statement from a personal physician attesting to physical ability to perform duties
- Must possess a valid NYS driver's license
- Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites and required classes
Residency Requirements:
- Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Niagara, and Wyoming Counties
- Genesee County: Alabama, Oakfield, Elba, Pembroke, Batavia, Darien, and Alexander townships
- Orleans County: Yates, Ridgeway, and Shelby townships
- Allegany County: Allen, Alma, Amity, Angelica, Belfast, Bolivar, Caneadea, Centerville, Clarksville, Cuba, Friendship, Genesee, Granger, Hume, New Hudson, Rushford, Scio, and Wirt townships
Selection Process:
- Must pass a drug test after selection and prior to enrollment in the apprenticeship program
- Must take and pass Work Keys Applied Mathematics, Workplace Documents, and Graphic Literacy Assessment tests with a minimum score of four in each category
Additional Information:
The apprenticeship program is registered with the New York State Department of Labor and meets standards established by the Commissioner. Sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants based on race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or marital status. Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications.
