The City of Concord is a vibrant and diverse community located in the heart of the East Bay region. We are seeking highly motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our Recreation Services team as Community Center Assistants.
Job Summary
As a Community Center Assistant, you will provide exceptional customer service to patrons, support facility operations, and maintain a clean and safe environment for events and activities. This is a part-time position working approximately 5-20 hours per week depending on facility bookings.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to patrons, including answering questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Support facility operations, including setup and teardown of equipment and facilities, cleaning, and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including attendance tracking and facility usage.
- Collaborate with recreation staff and other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
- No prior experience necessary; one year or more of customer service experience desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid California driver's license and satisfactory driving record required.
- Fingerprint clearance required.
