Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, administering medications, chemotherapy, and blood products with precision and compassion.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within the scope of practice.
  • Provide education to patients and their families, addressing their unique needs and concerns.
  • Transcribe, utilize, and implement protocols and physician orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate with the healthcare team, delegating tasks to ancillary personnel as needed.
  • Meet the educational and experience requirements outlined below.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting, preferably in Radiation Oncology.
  • Current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming and good standing with the Board of Nursing.
  • Chemotherapy certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, obtained within 60 days of hire and maintained throughout employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, obtained within one year of hire and maintained throughout employment.
  • Radiation Therapy Certificate Course completion within one year of employment, with re-certification every three years or as per ONS standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service skills, including a friendly personality, tact, patience, empathy, and a helpful, professional attitude.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, managers, and the general public verbally and in writing.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively without immediate supervision.
  • Ability to learn new computer software programs and recognize and protect confidential information.
