Key Responsibilities- Pre-Assembly Preparation: Study assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists to prepare work to be accomplished.
- Component Positioning: Position parts and subassemblies using templates or reading measurements.
- Component Assembly: Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Quality Verification: Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
- Problem Resolution: Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notifying supervisors to obtain additional resources.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform cleaning operations of parts and maintain components for the assembly shop.
- Work Environment: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Resource Conservation: Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Team Collaboration: Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
- Tool Utilization: Utilize handheld tools such as a handheld screw and drill gun.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of product in workstations.
- Quality Control: Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Adherence to Safety Procedures: Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
- 5S Application: Continuously demonstrate 5S application.
- Training and Development: Required participation in internal training as needed to perform the duties assigned to this role.
- U.S. Person Status: U.S. Person status required due to export control.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years mechanical assembly experience preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may have to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at times. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee must regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
