We are seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Repair Specialist to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. As a key member of our Distribution Business, you will specialize in engine repairs and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Complete repairs and rebuilds on engine products in the field
- Develop productive customer relations and ensure prompt attention to customer needs
- Apply documented procedures and policies to complete repairs and schedule maintenance
- Assist with completion of required documentation, including work completed documentation and time sheets
You will be responsible for ensuring adherence to all meaningful Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures. This position requires a Med-Card and a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations. A current valid license is required, as well as 3 years driving experience. The role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations, including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use.
Requirements- A Technician Level II with relevant experience and qualifications
- Ability to perform work on an intermediate number of products and engage in moderately complex maintenance and repair
- Capacity to train and guide less experienced technicians
- Familiarity with DOT physical requirements and ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
