As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with various cardiac post-surgery conditions and procedures
- Manage central lines, IJ introducers, radial artery devices, temp pacemakers, and pericardial drains
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Participate in unit-specific education and training programs to stay up-to-date on the latest cardiac surgery procedures and technologies
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, occasionally to various units
- 1 year of experience in Progressive Care or Step-Down in an acute care facility
- 1 year of Epic experience preferred
- Ability to work 3x12 night shifts
- Ability to work weekends
- Ability to accommodate block schedule
The Cardiac Surgery Unit at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend is a high-acuity unit that requires a skilled and compassionate team of nurses to provide exceptional patient care. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of cardiac post-surgery conditions and procedures, including thoracentesis and emergent chest tube placement potential with LVRP.
