The Security Officer at MCR Hotels will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and staff. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol Hotel Premises: Regularly patrol hotel lobbies, corridors, and public spaces to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff.
- Investigate Incidents: Investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism, and other incidents to identify causes and implement solutions.
- Fire Safety and Emergency Response: Detect fires or unsafe conditions and respond accordingly, ensuring the safety of all individuals on site.
- Safety Equipment Maintenance: Evaluate safety equipment and report any damages or issues to ensure the equipment is functioning properly.
- Conflict Resolution: Warn or evict troublemakers as needed, while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
- Accident Response: Obtain assistance for accident victims and file accident reports to ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
- Suspicious Behavior: Notify team members and management of suspicious behaviors to prevent potential security threats.
- Emergency Response: Assist management and enforcement officers in emergency situations, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Room Checks: Enter and check rooms of guests suspected of leaving without paying their bill to confirm suspicions and seize any remaining personal property.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel's security department.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in the security field is a plus.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in various environments, including cold, rain, snow, or heat, depending on the hotel's location.
- Physical Abilities: Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds, climb stairs, ramps, or ladders regularly, and stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time.
- Cognitive Abilities: Think clearly and react quickly in emergencies, make conclusions based on facts and personal judgment, and possess a can-do attitude and hands-on approach.
- Schedule: Flexible schedule that allows for availability on days, nights, holidays, and weekends based on the hotel's demands.
