Responsibilities:
  • Assess and monitor patients throughout the labor process, identifying potential complications and taking prompt action to address them.
  • Monitor fetal heart rates and contractions, providing guidance and support to patients as needed.
  • Administer medications and perform various medical procedures, including IV and central line skills, phlebotomy, and pain management.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and communication.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current nursing license, in good standing.
  • Minimum of one (1) year Labor & Delivery (L/D) experience.
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN. Fetal Monitoring.
