Job Summary

Ferring Pharmaceuticals Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing predictive and preventive maintenance on various systems, including facilities, core utilities, and GMP clean utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hands-on routine and non-routine activities for all GMP and Non-GMP utility equipment and systems.
  • Provide technical and mechanical support on all GMP and Non-GMP utility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and perform hands-on repairs on all clean utilities and the main utility plant system.
  • Collaborate with vendors or work independently to resolve issues with utility equipment and systems.
  • Execute work orders, documenting work performed in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and equipment logbooks following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Monitor and respond to Building Management System (BMS) and Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) alarms.
Requirements
  • High School Degree/GED with 5+ years of related experience OR Associate's degree and 2+ years; 2-year trades vocational certification is acceptable and 2+ years experience.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry water systems or related field.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to work first shift hours during scheduled shutdowns.
  • Must be able to gown for entry into controlled classified areas.
