SHIFT DETAILS:
12-hour night shifts
*All missed shifts should be compensated within the same week if feasible; otherwise, time will be added to the end of the contract to cover missed shifts.
**Holidays are mandatory unless previously approved during the offer process.
FLOATING REQUIRED as necessary, with expectations to float to the sister unit, which is the 5th West ICCU (same patient demographic).
Weekend Requirement:
Every other weekend is mandatory.
The Intermediate Critical Care Unit is a dynamic 20-bed facility dedicated to providing specialized care for patients facing potentially life-threatening health issues, including but not limited to: unstable hemodynamics and respiratory distress requiring non-invasive support; special procedures.
UNIT DETAILS:
***The unit is currently accepting COVID-19 patients, and travelers will be expected to provide care for these individuals. Only one pressor drip per patient is allowed; additional drips will necessitate transfer to ICU. Cardizem, Nitro, Precedex, Cardene, Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Neo drips are administered on the unit. Weekend block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated due to weekend obligations.
UNIT ORIENTATION:
24 hours over 2 full days of orientation.
