About the School Bus Driver Position

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious School Bus Driver to join our team at First Student. As a School Bus Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a school bus safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students and parents, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other drivers and support staff to ensure the smooth operation of our transportation services.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive starting wage of $25.00-$27.00 per hour, depending on experience.
  • A $5,000 sign-on bonus for fully licensed drivers and a $3,000 sign-on bonus for trainees.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid holidays, PTO, and vacation time.
  • A 401(k) plan with matching after one year of service.
  • 40 hours of guaranteed work per week, with additional hours available on charter routes.
  • Paid CDL training for new drivers.

Requirements:

  • At least 21 years old.
  • Valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Subject to a drug screen and physical.
