Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Substitute Custodian to join our team at Putnam County Schools, WV. As a Substitute Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school facilities and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and machinery.
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed.
  • Assist with special events and projects as required.
Requirements:
  • Holds a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Passes the test for the Custodian classification.
  • Completes required custodial in-service training.
Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position with varying schedules. The Substitute Custodian will work under the supervision of the Principal/Assistant Principal and will be evaluated based on performance.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is based on experience and education level, as outlined in the Putnam County Board of Education salary schedule.
