Anesthesiology Specialist

Akron Children's Hospital seeks an experienced CRNA to join our team. As a key member of our anesthesia department, you will work under the direct supervision of an anesthesiologist to deliver high-quality care for medical and surgical procedures.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team, and maintain a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Work under the direct supervision of an anesthesiologist to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures.
• Provide patient care before, during, and after procedures, performing thorough assessments, preparing patients for anesthesia, administering and maintaining anesthesia as needed, overseeing recovery, and caring for post-operative needs.
• Perform administrative tasks to ensure the efficient functioning of the anesthesia department, directly impacting the quality of services provided.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in performance improvement projects to enhance departmental efficiency and quality of care.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

• A Master's degree in a related field, with a Doctorate preferred.
• Current RN licensure and CRNA certification, with ACLS certification required.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience, with pediatric experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office or similar software.
