Position Overview:
As a Permanent Associate Attorney focusing on General Liability, you will engage in a range of responsibilities that include:

  • Defending clients in various aspects of general liability litigation, such as auto insurance claims, discovery processes, motion hearings, depositions, and court proceedings.
  • Interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations to forecast potential case outcomes for both individuals and businesses.
  • Drafting essential legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, briefs, contracts, and other necessary paperwork.
  • Conducting thorough research on diverse legal issues.
  • Providing comprehensive legal advice and guidance to clients, ensuring their rights are safeguarded and they are well-informed of their legal options.
  • Formulating strategies and arguments in preparation for case presentations.
  • Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients to resolve matters efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintaining professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and judicial officers.
  • Staying informed on industry trends and legal changes to ensure compliance and minimize risks.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Associate Attorney (General Liability) role will possess the following qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law institution.
  • A minimum of 1-5 years of experience as an attorney, particularly in general liability.
  • Active membership in the State Bar in good standing.
  • Extensive experience with auto insurance, discovery, motions, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly and persuasively.
